Committee Members

Returning to chair the committee after retiring from playing for the club in 2003 Gus has 33 Scotland caps. He 1st played for DVC in 1969 with his last match 2003. He also played for Strathclyde Uni, RN, RAF Combined Services & Omani Navy and on 5 continents!

Laura has been pushing the committee and club organisation forward over the last 2 years as administrator. She communicates with other clubs to organise matches, answers questions from new and old members and keeps us all informed with emails about what is going on for the club

Introduced to volleyball in 1969 and been a member of Dundee Volleyball Club since 1971.I played my first international match against Austria in Vienna in October 1973. I returned to Dundee to teach and taught for 44 years and have been a player, captain, coach or treasurer at various times along the way. My last of 1294 games for Dundee was in December 2013 against Beacon from Aberdeen. I have been the coach of all sides since then, along with my role as assistant coach to several National Teams. My passion is volleyball and I strive to keep the Club progressing and being sustainable.

As committee member I support the rest of the committee with tasks and have recently taken on the social media and website roles.

I started playing volleyball at school (1987) and still actively playing, this journey has seen me play volleyball at various levels over two continents. Played: school, within the South Africa defence force, Dundee university, Dundee volleyball club. I currently help coach, particularly the development sessions and support the district league team during their season.
